Tanzania’s Bongo star Ali Kiba has stated that there is no bad blood between him and fellow musician Diamond Platnumz.
Ali Kiba was speaking on Thursday, July 1 during a live online TV show hosted by presenter Felix Oduor alias Jalango.
In the interview, Ali was asked whether he was ready to record a music video in collaboration with Diamond, and he answered; “I hope we can do a video together, it will be big if we do it.”
However, the musician was quick to add that chemistry between artists is important when recording a collaboration.
Ali also revealed that he only does collaboration with artists when he is sure that the song will be a hit.
He pointed out “Saluti’ a music video he recorded with Willy Paul which was well received by his fans.
“I don’t like doing a collaboration just because of it. I love doing good music. Music which will sell and be a hit,” Ali said.
During the interview, Ali also revealed why he doesn’t follow anyone on his Instagram page.
“It’s not that I feel important or special. I just want people to follow me because they love my music,” the musician said.
Ali who is on a media tour of the country also hinted of a possible collaboration between himself and a Kenyan artist in the recent future.
The musician who has previously worked with Kenya’s Otile brown said he enjoys listening to Kenyan musicians like Nameless, Caligraph Jones, Wahu and Otile Brown among others.
