Huduma Kenya has announced that 18 select Huduma Centers will now operate from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

In a statement issued by Huduma Kenya on Monday, June 17, 2024, the extension of service hours aims to improve access to public services.

“18 select Huduma Centres are open from 7 am to 7 pm. Visit us to access Government services beyond the standard working hours,” Huduma Kenya stated.

During the extended hours, several desks will be operational, including those for police abstracts, duplicate national identity cards, and certificates of good conduct.

Additionally, services for NHIF, KRA, NSSF, and all online government services through the Huduma Cyber Cafe will also be available.

The extended hours will be available at the following Huduma Centers: Nairobi-GPO, Makadara, Kibra, Eastleigh, Kiambu, Thika, Nakuru, Eldoret, Nyeri, Embu, Meru, Laikipia, Kisii, Kitale, Kericho, Kakamega, Kisumu, and Mombasa.

KRA extends working hours

In May 2024, the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) announced an extension of its operational hours from June 3 to June 30 to help taxpayers file their returns by the June 30 deadline.

During this period, Tax Service Offices will operate from 7 am to 7 pm on weekdays. On Saturdays, these offices will be open from 9 am to 1 pm, and they will remain closed on Sundays. However, on June 29 and 30, they will be open from 9 am to 6 pm.

At selected Huduma Centres, KRA services will be available from 7 am to 7 pm on weekdays, with no weekend service.

These specific centres include GPO, City Square, Kibra, Makadara, and Eastleigh in Nairobi, as well as Mombasa, Nakuru, Kericho, Eldoret, Kitale, Meru, Embu, Kiambu, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kisumu, Kakamega, and Kisii. Other Huduma Centres will operate from 8 am to 5 pm.

The KRA contact centre will be available from 7 am to 7 pm on weekdays, except from June 24 to 28, when it will extend its hours until 10 pm.

The contact centre’s operating hours on Saturdays will be from 9:00 am. to 4:00 pm., and on Sundays, it will be open from 9:00 am. to 1:00 pm. On June 30, 2024, the hours will be extended, and the centre will remain open from 9:00 am. until midnight.
