Brown Mauzo’s tip for men who feel hidden in relationships

Kenyan musician Brown Mauzo urged men who feel like they are being hidden in relationships to stop waiting for recognition and take matters into their own hands.
Taking to his Instagram stories on Saturday, April 5, 2025, Mauzo advised the men to take control and introduce themselves to their lovers’ online community.
“If she does not post you, take her phone, go live and introduce yourself, King,” he wrote.

Relationship mentor
This isn’t the first time Brown Mauzo has taken a stance on matters of the heart.
On December 24, 2024, Mauzo took to Instagram to warn his fans about the dangers of comparing their relationships to what they see on social media. The ‘Natamani’ hitmaker pointed out how deceptive online content can be. He reminded his followers that social media only captures the best, most polished moments and not the real, everyday struggles couples face behind closed doors.
He cautioned that such comparisons can create feelings of inadequacy and unrealistic expectations. Mauzo explained that people tend to share the highlights of their lives, leaving out the messy arguments, emotional lows, and personal challenges that are part of every relationship.
“Don’t compare your marriage to what you see online. There will always be people who post pictures making it look like they’re having a better time than you and your spouse! Avoid the temptation to make a comparison,” Mauzo advised his followers.
Mauzo further explained that constantly comparing your relationship to others can lead to envy, and resentment, and eventually cause strain between partners. He encouraged his fans to step back from social media when needed, especially if it starts affecting their peace of mind or how they view their partners.
Going even further back, on December 16, 2024, the singer-turned-relationship mentor turned his attention to women and spoke about the importance of clearly communicating relationship goals. In a post shared to his Instagram stories, he advised women not to be afraid of asking for what they truly want particularly when it comes to marriage and long-term commitment.
He emphasized that women should not wait silently in situationships or stay in unclear relationships for the sake of not appearing “too forward.” Instead, Mauzo encouraged them to speak directly and demand clarity about their future with their partner.
“Look your boyfriend in the face and tell him, ‘I’m tired of dating. Wife me up or get out of my future husband’s way,’” he wrote.
Mauzo is known for his highly publicized relationship with Kenyan socialite Vera Sidika which ended in 2023.

The two who were once married, shared two children.
He is now romantically involved with Instagram model Kabinga.
