Huddah Monroe triples date fee to Ksh150K amid soaring demand

Socialite and entrepreneur Huddah Monroe has announced a dramatic increase in her lunch date charges. What began as an offer of Ksh50,000 for a two-hour meal has now tripled to Ksh150,000, with the influencer citing overwhelming demand.
In her initial post, Huddah revealed that she was opening up her time for lunch dates with fans and potential admirers at a fee.
“I am charging Ksh50,000 per lunch date for two hours. I don’t eat that much anyway; I’m trying to lose weight. If you are ready, DM me and I’ll send the M-Pesa number ASAP,” she wrote. The announcement sparked mixed reactions, with some followers criticising her bold move while others expressed admiration for her confidence and business-minded approach.
M-Pesa is full
Barely a day later, Huddah returned with an update that surprised many.
On Friday, August 22, 2025, she claimed her M-Pesa account had been overwhelmed with payments, prompting her to increase the fee to Ksh150,000.
“I am sorry, guys. M-Pesa is full. Lunch date fee is now Ksh150,000,” she posted, sparking another wave of reactions across social media platforms.

Her declaration highlighted both the demand for her time and the controversial nature of monetising social interactions. For her supporters, it was proof that Huddah understands her brand value and is unapologetic about setting high standards. To critics, however, the revised figure seemed unrealistic and a calculated publicity stunt designed to keep her trending.
This is not the first time the businesswoman has courted attention with bold statements and unconventional ventures. Over the years, Huddah has built a reputation for turning her influence into financial opportunities, whether through her beauty line or attention-grabbing marketing strategies.
Online reactions remain sharply divided. Some fans praised Huddah for knowing her worth and refusing to undersell herself, while others argued that her move alienates genuine supporters who cannot afford such fees. A section of commentators also questioned whether the “M-Pesa full” claim was literal or simply a cheeky way of justifying the price hike.
Regardless of the debate, Huddah’s announcement has placed her at the centre of conversation in Kenya’s celebrity space.
