Kenyan influencer and beauty entrepreneur Huddah Monroe has revealed her bold stand on why she chooses self-preservation over saving others.
In a recent statement posted on her Instagram stories on June 14, 2024, Huddah shared that she is in a new chapter in her life where extending a helping hand is no longer her priority.
According to Huddah, she expressed that the fear of being taken advantage of by those she assists has led her to a place of self-preservation.
Huddah highlighted that this decision has been instrumental in filtering out insincere individuals, ultimately resulting in her having a smaller circle of friends.
“I am at a point in life even if someone is drowning I wouldn’t stretch a hand to save them, cause the same person could just bite off your arm This has saved me from having too many friends,” Huddah stated.
Addressing inquiries about her well-being, Huddah firmly shut down nosy questions, emphasizing the importance of privacy. She emphasized that deflecting such inquiries is essential to avoid inviting unnecessary burdens from others.
“You are asking me how I’m doing. How’s that gonna benefit you? Are you a doctor? Are you a financier? What benefits am I or are you getting from me telling you how I’m doing? That’s just being in my business. Get outta here,” Huddah added.
Huddah emphasized that responding positively to such queries is a strategic move to prevent unwanted emotional baggage from being shared.
“Most people asking how you are doing don’t care. Try telling them you are not ok and see. They’ll just start saying how they are in shit too. Tell them you are ok and life’s great they’ll ask for a favour,” Huddah remarked.
Huddah dating a black man
In May 2024, Huddah gave her views on living with a black man adding that it’s time black men changed their character
According to Huddah, she said it was better to live alone than to be in a domestic violent relationship. This was Huddah’s reaction after a video showing P Diddy allegedly physically assaulting his ex went viral.
“That Diddy video beating that woman made me cry. That’s 90% of black men. No one can tell me otherwise. I would never marry a black man and live in the same house with him. God forbid!” she claimed.
