Kenyan socialite and businesswoman Huddah Monroe has made it clear she has no interest in joining the world of vlogging.

The outspoken entrepreneur, known for her unfiltered opinions on social media, on Thursday, August 14, 2025, expressed her feelings about the term “vlog” itself, saying she cannot relate to it at all.

In a lighthearted post shared with her followers, Huddah wrote, “Sijawai skia mkiniambia ni BLOG. Mnanielewa sana. Oh gosh! VLOG! Ata, I can’t relate to the name.”

Huddah, who has built a strong personal brand through modeling, beauty ventures, and lifestyle content on Instagram, appears to prefer platforms that allow her to maintain control over her image without the commitment that comes with regular vlogging.

Vlogging, short for “video blogging”, has become one of the most popular ways for influencers and content creators to connect with audiences through YouTube and other platforms. However, Huddah seems to feel the concept does not align with her style or interests.

Fans who have followed her career know she often prefers short, impactful social media posts over long-form video storytelling. This approach has worked well for her beauty empire, Huddah Cosmetics, and her image as one of Kenya’s most glamorous personalities.

Despite this, some of her followers still believe she could thrive as a vlogger. Fans have always said that with her charisma, boldness, and lifestyle, she would have so much interesting content. Many times, her followers have commented that her unfiltered style would make her vlogs go viral instantly.

A brand built on exclusivity

Huddah’s reluctance to try vlogging may also tie into the exclusivity of her brand. By avoiding long-form, casual video content, she keeps her personal life more private and curated, a contrast to vloggers who often let audiences into their daily routines.

For now, fans will have to settle for her regular social media updates and occasional candid moments on Instagram Stories. Whether she will ever reconsider vlogging remains to be seen, but for now, Huddah seems firmly uninterested.

Her statement is just the latest example of how the socialite keeps setting her own rules, choosing the platforms and methods that align with her vision.
