Famous TikToker Kawira denies dating Pastor Kanyari
Famous Kenyan TikToker Ann Kawira has opened up on the nature of her relationship with the Salvation Healing Ministries’ founder, Pastor Kanyari, insisting that the two are just close friends.
Speaking during an interview with a local station, Kawira said that the clergyman is also a father figure to her and she respects him a lot.
She went on to explain that she often attends Kanyari’s church, where he has been a great source of spiritual guidance.
“My relationship with Kanyari, actually, he is my good friend, and we are not dating, and we have never. Kanyari is my good friend; we are just friends, nothing more. Kanyari respects me, and I respect him as well; he is like my dad,” Kawira said.
“Mimi naendanga tu church kwake na anani support sana; he is my spiritual dad, my mother knows he is my spiritual father.“
Kawira also praised Kanyari for his support on social media, particularly on TikTok
“He is a very supportive person atapate social media kwa TikTok hakuna mtu mwengine anatusupport kama yeye. Anything inahappen pale TikTok watu huwa wanampigia anakuja anatoa pesa,” she added.

Kanyari’s relationship status
Salvation Healing Ministries’ founder, during his late ex-wife Betty Bayo’s memorial on Sunday, November 16, 2025, revealed why he has not remarried since his marriage ended more than seven years ago.
Kanyari said that most of the women he meets now do not meet the standards he values in a life partner.
“The reason why I have never remarried is that I have never found a woman like Betty Bayo again. The other women I meet are either crazy or lack the qualities I want in a life partner,” Kanyari said.
He explained that he has never met a woman in his church who is emotionally stable, intelligent, and capable of managing a household while also being a supportive partner.

The pastor added that he would rather remain single than take someone randomly and risk problems for himself or his children.
“I have never met a woman in this church who is mentally stable and whom I would consider marrying. The women in this church are not of sound mind, and I know how to read character,” Kanyari added.
Kanyari said his focus on his children has also influenced his decision to remain single.
He explained that even as he grows older, he prioritises the well-being of Dani and Sky Victor, making sure they are in the right environment.
He emphasised the need to protect his family from women who could disrupt his household or negatively influence his children.
“I cannot take someone randomly to trouble my children or myself. I would rather stay alone. I will stay alone,” the preacher shared.
