Socialite and reality TV star Diana Marua has pulled back the curtain on her relationship with Bahati’s baby mama, Yvette Obura, revealing a dynamic built entirely on respect, forgiveness, and deliberate communication.

Speaking on Thursday, September 25, 2025, Diana said respect formed the cornerstone of their interactions. She explained that Yvette respected her, her marriage, and her personal boundaries, and that she, in turn, treated Yvette with the same high regard.

“The foundation of the good relationship between me and Mama Mueni is respect. Mama Mueni respects me and my marriage, and I respect her in return. We have good communication, and everything is based on respect,” she said.

Diana said this mutual understanding ensured that whenever Yvette needed to discuss anything concerning her child or related matters, she came directly to Diana rather than going around her, keeping lines of communication open and transparent.

She added that parting ways with someone was never easy, but life moved on, and both women had chosen forgiveness over conflict.

“If Mueni wants to come or discuss anything, she comes through me and not Bahati. If you see her reaching out to Bahati, it is because she has not contacted me, and at another time, I tell her to speak directly to him. Ending a relationship is never easy, but life happens, and we choose to forgive whatever has happened,” Diana added.

Diana said their focus remained on raising the child well, nurturing them to grow with love, guidance, and proper care, regardless of past misunderstandings.

She said respect and forgiveness had allowed them to move past any previous complications, creating a stable and civil environment for the child.

“It is about respect, forgiveness, and focusing on raising the child well.”

Diana stressed that there were no lingering issues between her and Yvette. She said their interactions were guided by a shared goal of co-parenting and ensuring that the child grew up in a positive, supportive atmosphere.

“Whoever we bring into this world, Mueni or anyone else, we must nurture the child so that they grow up well. Having said that, there are no more complications,” she added.
