Exactly a week after his Thanksgiving service, TikToker Kaluma Boy returned to Bishop Ben Kiengei’s JCM Church on Sunday, October 12, 2025, signalling that he may be planning to join the Ruiru-based Pentecostal church as a full member.

During the service, Bishop Kiengei showed the same elation he had during the Sunday, October 5, 2025, Thanksgiving, inviting the teenager to the pulpit to greet the congregation and receive further blessings over his life.

The man of God, full of fatherly pride, praised Kaluma Boy’s transformation and his growing confidence in faith.

He noted that the young man’s life had changed remarkably since his story touched the hearts of Kenyans online and hailed that he even looked healthier now that his father had received the much-needed help.

“Hi Kaluma, I see you came to church today, and you look very smart. I can tell you are happy again, and everyone here can see the joy on your face. Come here to the pulpit and greet us. Imagine how God has remembered your family, your father is recovering, and you yourself are doing well. You even look healthier now,” Bishop Ben said.

The clergyman went on to reveal that Kaluma Boy would officially report to university on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

He said that the teenager, who recently received a full scholarship to study sales and marketing with a focus on digital marketing at the East African University, would be escorted by businessman Mofarm, as the bishop himself would be travelling for other engagements that day.

Bishop Kiengei expressed gratitude that the journey, which began with an act of compassion, had turned into a testimony of transformation, emphasising that God had remembered Kaluma’s family.

“On Wednesday, Kaluma will be reporting to his university, and businessman Mofarm will take him there because I will be travelling for another engagement. So on Wednesday, Kaluma, you will officially join university, and we thank God for that,” he added.

The latest revelation comes a week after Bishop Kiengei announced that the 17-year-old TikTok sensation had been awarded a full university scholarship.

The scholarship was confirmed by the university’s vice chancellor, Dr Christopher Mutembei, who pledged to support the young man in developing his digital marketing skills.

The gesture followed a wave of online goodwill after Kaluma went viral for tenderly caring for his sick father in Othaya, Nyeri.

His story captured the hearts of thousands of Kenyans, including members of the TikTok community and the Nduthi Culture movement, who later organised visits and fundraisers for his family.

During the first Thanksgiving service, Bishop Kiengei used his ambulance to transport Kaluma’s ailing father to church and assured the congregation that every donation given for the family would be used transparently.

He further urged the youth to take inspiration from Kaluma’s resilience and faith.

“Dr Christopher Mutembei is the Vice Chancellor of the East African University, and this morning, he has confirmed that Kaluma Boy has been granted a full scholarship in the East African University, and Kaluma Boy will undertake a course in Sales and Marketing to enhance his skills in digital marketing,” the Bishop had announced.
