Jesus Compassion Ministries [JCM] head preacher Bishop Ben Kiengei has praised Betty Bayo’s daughter, Sky Victor, for her entrepreneurial spirit, noting how she has turned social media into a source of income at just 13 years old.

Speaking during a youth seminar in Laikipia County on Saturday, November 29, 2025, the bishop highlighted the potential of digital platforms for young people to earn money and build sustainable careers.

He explained that he was inspired by the way the young content creator uses digital platforms, like TikTok to share videos and monetise her creativity.

“Imagine, a young girl like Betty Bayo’s daughter is already earning money. She is just 13 years old. She sets up a camera, dances, and shares her videos with her followers. Even I, as an adult, follow her content because it is impressive and inspiring,” he said.

Bishop Ben encouraged the youth present to explore opportunities in content creation, pointing out that many social media users with thousands of followers often do not understand how to turn their content into income.

He emphasised that social media is an open platform for everyone, not restricted to any age or background, and urged young people to take advantage of it responsibly.

He also shared that he himself creates content on YouTube and relies on the platform to provide for his family, underlining that with dedication and strategy, online platforms can be a legitimate source of livelihood.

“At 13, she is already making money and showing that social media is not restricted to anyone, it is open for everyone to earn. I also create YouTube videos, and the income I get from YouTube supports me and my wife,” Bishop Ben added.

He warned against wasting time on social media without understanding its potential, explaining that even simple videos can be monetised if approached wisely.

“Yet, I notice some people with over 20,000 followers on TikTok have never tried to learn how to monetise their content. The videos you upload can be a source of income, so don’t waste your time; use social media wisely,” he said.
