Musician-cum politician Kevin Kioko popularly known as Bahati has detailed his reasons on why he married a woman six years older than him.

Speaking during an interview with a local station, Bahati who is eyeing the Mathare parliamentary seat intimated that he married his wife Diana Marua because he wanted to experience motherly love.

While expressing that his wife has created a big impact in his life, the ‘Mama’ hitmaker added that he wanted a woman who could show him what he missed since he grew up in a children’s home.

“Because I am an orphan, the moment I wanted to start a family, I wanted someone who can create a space for a life I never had before,

“I had never seen how a parent loves. I needed someone that can help me create and nurture a family so that I can feel what I missed in my dear life,” he added.

When asked about the things he dislikes about his wife, Bahati pointed out that he dislikes when his wife denies him sex.

“There are times when she does not give me sex for like two or three days,” Bahati stated.

The two began dating in 2015, and have two children so far.
