Adekunle Gold pens emotional birthday message to Simi
Nigerian musician Adekunle Gold has penned a touching birthday message to his wife, singer Simisola Bolatito Kosoko alias Simi, as she celebrates her birthday.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, April 19, 2025, the ‘Sinner‘ hitmaker poured out his heart in a loving tribute, celebrating their journey together and expressing deep appreciation for Simi’s presence in his life.
Adekunle shared that their love story began 12 years ago and that meeting Simi completely changed his life. He described her as his heart, home, and source of strength and joy on difficult days.
He added that loving Simi has been the easiest and happiest thing he has ever done, promising to spend forever showing her how much she means to him.
“12 years ago, I met you, and nothing’s been the same since. Thank you for being my heart, my home, my smile on hard days, my biggest cheerleader, and the most beautiful part of my story,” he expressed.
Adding;
“Loving you has been the easiest, happiest thing I’ve ever done. You deserve the world, and I’ll spend forever making sure you know it. I love you more than I ever thought a heart could hold. Happy birthday, Magic.”
Love story
The power couple began dating privately in 2014, keeping their relationship away from the public eye for five years before officially tying the knot on January 9, 2019.
In May 2020, the couple welcomed their daughter, Adejare. Simi’s hit song Duduke became an anthem for expectant mothers, especially during her pregnancy.
The two artistes have also worked together on various music projects, including ‘Promise’ released in 2019, and ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ in 2024. The latter was a special release to mark their 5th wedding anniversary.
On January 13, 2025, the couple celebrated their 6th wedding anniversary with equally warm messages to each other. Simi posted a short but sweet message on her Instagram page, saying:
“6 years. You still make me laugh. You’re still the best man I know. You’re still the one 💞 Happy Anniversary, Baby. I love you,” Simi posted.
“6 years don waka, we still dey carry go! You’ve been my greatest blessing, partner in everything, peace, and joy. Every day with you is a gift, and I’m forever grateful for you. Obimo, here’s to the beautiful memories we’ve created and the countless ones ahead. Happy anniversary, my forever love,” Adekunle replied.
