‘Cancel us as couple goals’ – Nigerian singer 2Baba tells critics

Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, alias 2Baba is shutting down critics while celebrating his wife – famous actress Annie Idibia.

Through his social media pages, the ‘African Queen’ crooner shared multiple photos and videos of him and Annie with Shania Twain’s – ‘You’re Still The One’ song playing in the background.

In the caption, he had a message for their fans whom he asked to feel free to cancel them as their couple goals.

“And STILLLLLLL!! LYTID #ONELOVERELIGION #WARRIORS Fu*k what u heard. Abeg since you are too perfect, feel free to cancel us as couple goals. Enjoy your perfect lives. We no fit vex for you. May Allah guide and protect all of us 🙏🏾🙏🏾 I dey #CHECKPOINT,” he wrote.

2Baba’s marriage backlash

2Baba and Annie’s marriage backlash spur from infidelity claims as revealed by the actress on an episode on Netflix show dubbed ‘Young, Famous & African’.

The lovebirds who have two children together made headlines after Annie uncovered she has endured much humiliation from her serial cheating husband.

Annie revealed that despite holding him down before the fame and fortune she was not the first to bare his children and neither was she the second but the fifth.

“My first child is his fifth and I met him before everybody. So, you know what that is?” she said. 

However, despite the public humiliation, Annie and 2Baba held each other down and renewed their vows in 2022 to mark their 10th anniversary.

“Yes, Fam…a guy and I renewed our vows…10 years Anniversary!! Was very intimate. But we wanted to also share it with the whole world. Will post pics n Videos,” she wrote.

Adding; “VULNERABILITY isn’t weakness! I wanna believe that it is being brave … It is “STRENGTH.”

The Nigerian power couple got married twice in May 2012 and March 2013. The second wedding was held in Dubai.

They have two daughters, Isabella and Olivia.
