Six Chinese nationals arrested for lack of work permits

Six Chinese nationals have been arrested by police in Imara Daima, Nairobi county.

In a statement through National Police Service official handles, the six, four women and two men are said to be working in the country without permits.

Their arrest follows joint efforts by a multi-agency team comprising of both the police and immigration department officers.

Police say investigations into their activities in the country has commenced even as they remain in custody waiting to be arraigned in court on Monday, January 17.

The officers further cautioned employers that it is illegal for any foreigner to work in Kenya without a valid work permit.
