Fatalities
The association further indicated that six people lost their lives, while four others were left with serious injuries.
“Six people are said to have lost their lives and four others were seriously injured in a road accident at the Kipsitet area along the Kericho-Kisumu Highway on Tuesday night,” the statement read.

The Long Distance Drivers and Conductors Association urged drivers, particularly those operating heavy vehicles, to prioritise safety.

Call for caution
The group, which often issues alerts to its members, warned motorists to exercise caution on the busy highway.

Two more died at Daraja Mbili Market in Kisii, and seven were killed in a collision at Korompoi in Kajiado County.
