Sabatia MP Alfred Agoi has told off COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli over his remarks that Deputy President William Ruto might hang himself after losing in the upcoming polls.

Speaking during a rally at Matungu in Kakamega county, Agoi told Atwoli that he will be in shock when Kenya Kwanza carries the day in the August 9 elections.

The lawmaker told Atwoli to stay near an intensive care unit to ensure he does not succumb to shock when he sees ODM leader Raila Odinga, the person he supports for the presidency, fails to clinch power for the fifth time.

“I want to tell Atwoli to stay near ICU on August 9. We don’t want him to die from the shock because we want him to witness Ruto or Mudavadi being sworn in as the next president of Kenya,” Agoi said.

Other leaders who were at the rally also warned the Cotu boss against hurling insults on Kenya Kwanza affiliated leaders.

Malava MP Mululu Injendi also claimed that Atwoli had no right to abuse the Kenya Kwanza leaders noting that he (Atwoli) has no intellectual capacity to match the leaders.

“Atwoli should stop abusing the Kenya Kwanza leaders because his intellect doesn’t match theirs,” Mululu said.

The lawmaker further thanked ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart for dumping Raila Odinga who he accused of abandoning the Western region after he sealed a handshake deal with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
