Church leaders and residents from Embu held prayers to cleanse Matakari area along Embu-Kiritiri road, which is a black spot.

The men of God performed cleansing prayers on the road that has claimed many lives.

Led by Pastor John Mukundi of Reigners Church in Embu town, the men of God said there were dark forces that were taking the innocent lives of Kenyans through accidents in the area saying it was high time they were dismantled through prayers and anointed oil.

Mukundi said that despite the erection of bumps, the accidents are still occurring hence the call for divine intervention.

“As a church, we are really concerned by the rising number of road accidents at Matakari and that is why we have decided to dedicate this day to cleanse this road,” Mukundi said.

“There are demons here. We cannot have accidents every now and then because that is not normal. We have come to say enough is enough in Jesus’ name,” he added.

On her part, Reverend Eve Kihara of Deliverance Church in Embu urged the road users to adhere to road rules and stop driving carelessly.
