Ruto draws crowds in Kamkunji during city tour for unity agreement
President William Ruto drew large crowds in Kamkunji Constituency on Monday, March 10, 2025, as he began his citywide tour of Nairobi to drum up support for the recently signed unity agreement with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

During the visit, the Head of State officially commissioned the Kamukunji Technical and Vocational College, emphasizing his administration’s commitment to technical education as a catalyst for economic transformation.

“We are upgrading our technical colleges to equip our youth with market-ready skills and knowledge to enhance job creation and accelerate our country’s transformation agenda,” President Ruto said in a statement posted on his social media account after the commissioning ceremony.

The President’s tour of Kamkunji included a public address to residents and traders at Eastleigh, where he was flanked by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki and Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, along with several Members of Parliament, Members of County Assembly, and other leaders.

Local residents turned out in large numbers to catch a glimpse of the President.

Ruto’s Nairobi tour is expected to continue throughout the week, with scheduled visits to other constituencies.
