Philip Etale raises alarm over missing Munyuki Secondary School principal
Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party Communications Director Philip Etale has called for urgent investigations into the mysterious disappearance of Munyuki Secondary School Principal Simon Isiaho Shange.
Shange is said to have gone missing earlier this week under unclear circumstances.
According to Etale, the principal disappeared on Monday, November 3, 2025, after he was said to have been involved in a road accident along the Eldoret–Malaba highway.
Taking to his official X account on the night of Wednesday, November 5, 2025, Etale argued that what happened after the reported incident remains uncertain, with his whereabouts still unknown days later.
“The principal of Munyuki High School in Lugari Mr. Simon Isiaho Shange, has been missing since Monday after he was allegedly involved in a road accident along the Eldoret-Malaba highway. How he went missing after the alleged accident remains a mystery,” he stated.
The former journalist has appealed to the police and relevant authorities to investigate the matter and help find the teacher.
“I appeal to the police and other relevant agencies to investigate this matter and help us find Mwalimu,” Etale said in a public statement.

Crashed car found in Turbo
The Eldoret–Malaba highway, one of the country’s busiest transport corridors, has seen frequent road incidents, but the disappearance of an accident victim without a trace has deepened the mystery.
Shange’s car is said to have been found crashed in Turbo, with his phone remaining switched off.
His family is anxious about what might have happened to him. Shange had left home early Monday morning to check on his students who were about to begin their KCSE exams.
