The county government of Bomet has said Governor Joyce Laboso is responding well to treatment at a Nairobi hospital where she has been hospitalised since her return from India a week ago.

In a statement to the press through the director of communication Ezra Kirui, the county government said Laboso had greatly improved.

The statement over the governor’s health comes following calls from the residents who have been demanding to be informed of her health status. The medical condition the governor is suffering from is still undisclosed.

-Moral support-

“The governor is grateful for the moral support and the prayers as she continues to receive treatment,” read the statement in part.

Deputy Governor Hillary Barchok who visited the governor last week at the hospital said Laboso was out of danger expressing optimism that she will soon be out of the hospital.

Barchok who spoke at Kipreres in Bomet east on Tuesday urged Kenyans to continue praying for the governor.

“She has greatly improved and we are hopeful she will soon be out of the hospital so that she can continue with her duties,” he said.

Bomet Woman Rep Joyce Korir had on Monday last week said Laboso was doing well and that she would be out of work for the next two months.
