Sports journalist Carol Radull has responded to people questioning why she is still wearing an Arsenal jersey even though the English Premier League season ended a few weeks ago.

She explained that she had already committed to wearing the shirt for 60 days and was not planning to stop before completing the challenge.

“So I am being bullied here, why am I still wearing an Arsenal jersey and the season ended kitambo?” Carol Radull said on Friday, June 5, 2026.

She explained that her decision was made long before the season ended. According to her, the plan was to keep wearing the jersey for a set period, and that timeline has not changed.

“I told you people, I will wear an Arsenal jersey for 60 days,” Carol Radull said.

Carol added that she also hopes the challenge will help her lose some weight. She noted that she is still far from reaching the end of the period she had set for herself.

“Hopefully, I will lose weight so that I can lose the weight, we are only on day 16,” Carol Radull said.

Sticking to the plan

Carol said there is no reason for her to stop now because she is only a few weeks into the challenge. She maintained that the decision was personal and that she intends to see it through until the end.

She also spoke about Arsenal supporters and their feelings after the season. According to her, fans should not be pressured to move on simply because the campaign has already concluded.

“Arsenal fans will move on when we feel like moving on,” Carol Radull said.

Carol insisted that supporters will decide for themselves when they are ready to put the season behind them. She explained that nobody should dictate how long fans should celebrate or reflect on what happened.

“Don’t tell us, move on, the season has ended, we will move on, when we decide to move on,” Carol Radull said.

Arsenal were crowned Premier League champions for the first time in 22 years on May 19. The club secured the title after Manchester City drew 1-1 with Bournemouth, confirming the Gunners at the top of the table.

The title ended Arsenal’s long wait for a league crown after several seasons of coming close. The team had finished as runners-up three times before finally securing first place.

It also marked Arsenal’s first major trophy in six years. The achievement gave manager Mikel Arteta his second major honour since taking charge at the Emirates Stadium.
