Moses Mudavadi, son of Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, is now officially off the market after marrying Qillian Saiya, daughter of former GSU Commandant William Atswenje Saiya and former Kakamega Senator Naomi Masitsa Shiyonga, in a colourful traditional wedding ceremony.

The wedding held at the Sayia family residence in Malava Constituency was a lavish display of culture and elegance, with the theme colours of orange and dark blue dominating the décor and attire, creating a striking yet regal atmosphere.

Traditional songs and performances filled the air as family and friends gathered to celebrate the union of two powerful families drawn from political and security circles.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi was present at the event.

In a video shared online, he was seen seated in the front row, just a few metres from where the couple stood, as they were honoured with gifts in line with cultural practices.

The groom, a bearded hunk, looked jubilant throughout the day, firmly holding his bride’s hand during the ceremony as they received blessings and applause from the crowd.

Qillian was also not left behind as she dazzled in a dark green, figure-hugging dress that perfectly flattered her hourglass silhouette.

The gown, finished with bold orange embellishments at the hem, stood out as a sophisticated masterpiece that combined glamour with tradition.

At one point, the newlyweds joined their bridal party on the podium to dance.

Videos captured them exchanging vibrant moves as their bridesmaids and groomsmen cheered them on, surrounding the podium with ululations and song.

Mudavadi’s Daughter’s wedding

Moses’s wedding comes only two years after his sister Maryanne Mudavadi also tied the knot in a high-profile ceremony.

The beauty tied the knot with her lover, Nyaga Karanja, in a beautiful ceremony attended by family and friends at St Austin’s Catholic Church in Nairobi, on Saturday, October 28, 2023.

Dignitaries such as Kimani Ichungwah, Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Kipchumba Murkomen, and Moses Kuria attended the event.

In pictures shared online by, the bride was dressed in a beautiful white gown, whereas the groom had a black suit and white coat with a black bow tie to march.

The two were accompanied by a team of bridesmen and women who elegantly stepped out in black suits and baby-pink gowns, respectively.
