Mukuru Kwa Njenga youths who took part in retrieval of dismembered bodies that were discovered at a quarry dumpsite in Kware, Pipeline in Embakasi South Sub-County, have started undergoing counselling sessions.
The counselling sessions that have been organized by human rights activists kicked off on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
Human rights activist Hussein Khalid has revealed through his official X account that he had spent his Saturday afternoon in Mukuru Kwa Njenga slums to lead the counselling exercise.
Action for the Mukuru youth
During the Saturday counselling sessions, Khalid says key issues that require action came out.

Khalid had on Friday, July 19, 2024, revealed that he had received distress calls from the Mukuru Kwa Njenga youth involved in the retrieval the bodies, requesting for counselling.
He went ahead to promise that he would work together with Mukuru Community Justice Centre and other councilors to ensure the youth are helped.

Mukuru bodies
Two weeks ago, dismembered female bodies were discovered at an abandoned quarry in Kware, Mukuru Kwa Njenga, which had been turned into a dumping site.
Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) homicide detectives have been retrieving the bodies with the help of the local youth.
So far, a prime suspect and his two accomplices have been arrested.
The DCI detectives drawn on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, revisited the house belonging to Collins Jumaisi Khalusha, the main suspect linked to the bodies found in the dumped, and recovered blood-stained items.
In a statement, John Marete, Director-Liason and Corporate Communications at DCI, noted that the detectives visited the said house in Mukuru Kwa Njenga.
During the visit, the homicide detectives recovered a pillowcase with noticeable bloodstains, a blood-stained t-shirt, a blood-stained hammer, a blood-stained pair of pliers, three knives, one with bloodstains, and a blood-stained pair of scissors.
