Embu TikToker Mama Gift Gathoge has finally spoken following the overwhelming show of love and generosity she received from Kenyans during her highly publicised fundraiser held at the Njukiiri Showground on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

Speaking to a local YouTuber on Monday, October 27, 2025, the emotional mother, who has been documenting her daily struggles caring for her son who suffers from severe cerebral palsy, expressed deep gratitude to all those who turned up and supported her cause.

“Hello everyone, I am Mama Gift, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all Kenyans, and not only Kenyans, but every single person who came to represent others at my event. I sincerely thank you so much for accepting my invitation to the fundraiser and for doing such a good deed,” she said.

She acknowledged that the support had given her renewed strength and faith, describing the experience as one that left her truly humbled and deeply moved.

She also expressed gratitude to those who were unable to attend the event but still found it in their hearts to support her through online contributions.

“May God bless you abundantly for your support. I also appreciate those who were not able to attend or donate; whenever you get the chance, please make your contribution. I am deeply humbled. I have no words to express how I feel. I had waited for that day for so long, and finally it came, and I am truly happy with how everything turned out,” she said.

The fundraiser, which attracted TikTokers from different parts of the country, turned out to be one of the most attended social media-driven charity events in Kenya this year.

The field at Njukiiri Showground was filled beyond capacity, with hundreds of cars and boda bodas streaming into the venue early in the morning.

Those who could not secure space inside the grounds watched from their cars or followed the proceedings through TikTok live streams.

Among the many notable attendees were renowned TikTokers and public figures who have been at the forefront of online philanthropy.

Forex trader Raymond Omosa, popularly known as Kenyan Prince, doubled his previous donation from Ksh50,000 to Ksh100,000, drawing cheers from the ecstatic crowd.

His close associate Mushkert FX contributed Ksh50,000, while Gen Z MCA Mbithe Mulinge donated Ksh53,000 alongside presenting a large cake for Baby Gift.

Kaluma Boy, who was himself the recent beneficiary of a similar initiative, attended and gave a total of Ksh50,000, representing both his own and his bosses’ contributions. Other TikTokers, including Ngato wa Probox and Swings Mauno, also made significant donations, with Mauno pledging to deliver a complete set of household furniture for Mama Gift.

The event, which was coordinated by MC Chris Kirubi, turned into a celebration of kindness and unity, proving once again that social media has the power to bring people together for meaningful causes.

The convoy of boda bodas, the flags waving in the air, and the endless cheers all created an atmosphere of hope, symbolising a digital generation that has chosen to turn empathy into action.

Baby Gift, who remains under his mother’s constant care, is fed through tubes due to his delicate condition.

He suffers from severe cerebral palsy, asthma, cardiovascular complications, gastrointestinal problems, and recurrent convulsions, all of which have made his treatment journey emotionally and financially demanding.
