Popular Kenyan rapper Karuga Kimani popularly known as KRG the Don has made his position clear on the Finance Bill, asserting that he is not shying away from expressing his support.
In a recent statement on his Instagram page on June 14, 2024, KRG declared his intention to share his insights on the bill in a few days, once he has thoroughly reviewed its contents.
“What’s your take on Finance Bill? Mimi kama #Bughaaa I will give my take on Monday after reading the whole thing. Bughaaa Msanii Wa President ” KRG remarked.
His post attracted a mix of reactions, with a few of his fans calling him out for hinting at his opinion on the bill.
One fan, in particular, was unhappy that KRG referred to himself as the artiste of the president.
“Unajua already you people be d*ck riding the government asf,ati msanii wa gava what’s that,” A fan wrote.

Despite facing criticism from his fans, accusing him of aligning with the government, KRG remained resolute in his stance.
He emphasized that he would not feign opposition to the bill and acknowledged the benefits it brings to the table. He added that even in the face of public dissent he would still show his support.
“You need to heal from whatever trauma you have coz kila mtu ako na right ya ku support mtu mwenyewe anataka in Kenya and I choose to support The President bila kujificha coz I know what benefits it brings to my table! Every man for his family, God for us all. The choice is yours,” KRG replied.
The rapper’s unwavering commitment to his beliefs comes amidst a backdrop of widespread resistance from Kenyans against the implementation of the Finance Bill.
