Kenyans to dig deeper into their pockets as EPRA announces new fuel prices

The fuel prices have recorded a steady increase in the just-released review by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority-EPRA.

According to the new adjustment, Super Petrol will now retail at ksh.134.72, diesel at ksh.115.60, and kerosene at ksh.110.82 per litre in Nairobi and its environs.

In a statement on Tuesday, September 14, the regulatory body said the new prices will take effect on September 15 for the next 30 days.

“In accordance with Section 101(y) of the Petroleum Act 2019, EPRA has calculated the maximum wholesale and retail prices of petroleum products, which will be in force from September 15, 2021, to October 14, 2021. Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene will now retail at Kshs. 134.72, Kshs. 115.60 and Kshs. 110.82 per litre respectively in Nairobi starting today at midnight,” EPRA wrote on Facebook.

In Mombasa, petrol will retail at Ksh132.46, diesel at Ksh113.36 while kerosene will sell at Ksh108.57.

In Nakuru, petrol will retail at Ksh134.24, diesel at Ksh115.43 and kerosene at Ksh110.67.

While in Eldoret, petrol will retail at Ksh 135.13, diesel at Ksh116.31 and kerosene at 111.54.
