Kariobangi South residents have urged the Ministry of Health to consider mass testing in the area after a family was taken for quarantine on Saturday night.

Health officials took a woman, her two children, and house help were taken to a quarantine facility after a family member tested positive for COVID-19.

However, the woman’s husband is said to be a health worker in one of the public hospitals in Nairobi.

The health officials did not reveal to the locals the man’s whereabouts.

A police source told K24 Digital that Health Ministry officials who went to pick the family found many lemons under one of their beds, a sign that they may have suspected that they had coronavirus.

The use of lemons to ‘treat’ corona was perpetuated by Tanzania’s President John Magufuli who claimed that his son who had COVID-19 was healed after consuming Lemon concoctions.
