Kalonzo allays fears that 2027 polls will be rigged
Former president Kalonzo Musyoka has allayed fears of the 2027 general election being stolen, stressing that the opposition outfit will put elaborate plans in place to ensure the credibility of the polling exercise.
Speaking during the opposition tour in Bungoma County on Friday, 4, 2025, Kalonzo recounted the past elections where the opposition claimed that they were stolen, insisting that they have an elaborate plan to guard the votes.

“Kenyans are now tired of their votes being stolen. I want to assure the people of Bungoma that the next elections will not be stolen again. I am not Raila, who says every time that the elections have been stolen from him,” he stated.
The Wiper party leaders cited how they will engage the country’s youth to ensure the polls are free and fair.
“We will station our Gen Zs to man every polling station in 50,000 posts, and they will deliver results in real time. We will not need to wait for Chebukati at the Bomas. The time for electoral fraud has ended. We now say that will be a thing of the past,” he added.
Malala on stealing of votes
Kalonzo’s remarks come after the Democracy for Citizens Party Deputy Leader also stated that President William Ruto will not rig the 2027 general elections.
Addressing the crowd during a stopover in Voi, Taita Taveta County, on Saturday, June 7, 2025, Malalah stated that those who helped the head of state win the 2022 general elections have united, and no single vote will be stolen.
“I was the Secretary General in Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party; Gachagua was deputy party leader. When we tell you this person (President William Ruto) is a thief, believe us, he is. We know him in and out,” he stated.
“He is trying to threaten Kenyans that he will steal votes. We want to tell you that those people who helped you steal that election are now here (DCP). There’s not a single vote he will steal. We have united,” he added.
