The Inatuhusu Movement founder who could not hide her emotions thanked God for the time her mother lived on earth. However, she did not reveal the cause of her mother’s death and the age.

“Confirmed My Mummy is no more. Thank you God for the time you gave us Jeniffer Wambui Kinyanjui Wamae,” Wamae stated in a post she shared via X slightly past midnight on Sunday, February 2, 2025.

Justina Wamae’s limelight

Justina Wamae has been vocal, commenting on various issues of national interest through her official social media accounts.

In 2024, she made headlines when she declined the appointment offered by President William Ruto to the Human Resources for Health taskforce.

Sharing on her X account on July 8, 2024, Wamae thanked the president for the offer but noted that she was on maternity leave and that the new role would hinder her ability to work efficiently.

“After careful consideration, I have decided to decline your offer given that I’m currently on maternity leave and this development would affect my ability to work effectively at this time,” Justina noted.

In addition, Justina thanked the President for his consideration and the opportunity accorded to her to serve.

“Thank you Mr President William Samoei Ruto for recognizing my strength, capacity, and ability and subsequently appointing me to serve in the presidential task force on addressing human resources for health vide gazette notice NO. 8437,” Wamae wrote on X.

Wamae-Wajackoyah fallout

Wamae fell out with Wajackoyah soon after the 2022 General Election, prompting her to exit the Roots Party.

The issues between Wamae and Wajackoyah’s Roots party started when she was called for disciplinary action a fortnight after the duo unsuccessfully attempted to get the presidency.

The party accused Wamae of misrepresenting the party’s stand as well as disassociating with its ideologies after she sent a public congratulatory message to the president and his deputy.

“You have continuously and maliciously misrepresented the position of the party and that of the party leader having blocked him and other party officials,” the party said at the time.

“You have further made utterances that cannot be substantiated and which are against the party’s manifesto and purported to be the party’s spokesperson and on several occasions been quoted by the media,” he added.

However, Wamae said she would not attend the disciplinary action.
