Ichungw’ah drums up support for UDA Narok Town MCA candidate ahead of November by-election

The National Assembly Majority Leader, Kimani Ichung’wah, has rallied Narok residents in support of the United Democratic Candidate for Narok town ahead of the upcoming by-elections.

In a statement on the party’s official X account on Saturday, November 15, 2025, the UDA leaders held a meeting in Narok town while urging residents to support Robert Kudate.

The meeting came as Narok Town Ward gears up for a by-election for the Member of the County Assembly position.

“National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichungwa rallied UDA leaders in drumming up support for the party’s Narok Town Ward candidate, Robert Kudate. At a function organized by Narok West MP Gabriel Tongoyo at the Carwash area, the leaders urged residents to support Kudate in his bid for the seat,” UDA stated.

The function, which was organized by Narok West MP Gabriel Tongoyo at the carwash area, saw other UDA leaders present, including UDA National Treasurer and Kitutu Chache North MP Japheth Nyakundi, Narok North MP Hon. Agnes Pareyio, and nominated MP Hon. Sabina Chege.

“Others in the campaign team included UDA National Treasurer and Kitutu Chache North MP Japheth Nyakundi, Narok North MP Hon. Agnes Pareyio, and nominated MP Hon. Sabina Chege,” UDA noted.

Likewise, “Also present at the campaign were former Narok County Governor Samuel Kuntai ole Tunai, former Narok South MP Hon. Korei Lemein, and several MCAs, among other leaders,” UDA said.

November by-elections

Meanwhile, the campaigns follow a report by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission announcing that all by-elections will be conducted on November 27, 2025.

In a notice, the electoral agency said the gazetting of the by-elections has been scheduled in two batches.

The commission said gazettement for 16 ward by-elections was done on Friday, August 8, alongside the appointment of Returning and Deputy Returning Officers who will conduct the polls.

The wards include Angata Nanyokie Ward in Samburu County, Chemundu/Kapng’etuny Ward in Nandi County, Chewani Ward in Tana River County, Fafi Ward in Garissa County, Kariobangi North Ward in Nairobi County, Kisa East Ward in Kakamega County, and Metkei Ward in Elgeyo Marakwet County.

Others are Mumbuni North Ward in Machakos County, Purko Ward in Kajiado County, Tembelio Ward in Uasin Gishu County, and Nyansiongo, Nyamaiya, and Ekerenyo Wards in Nyamira County, as well as Lake Zone and Nanaam Wards in Turkana County.
