Go to hell: Ruto’s MC confronts a driver who nearly forced him off the road

Mike Gitonga, President William Ruto’s master of ceremonies and secretary of state functions, was involved in a tense roadside confrontation while riding his motorbike home on Sunday, November 30, 2025, according to a post shared on his Instagram.
The incident occurred when a man driving a Ford Ranger Raptor double-cab pickup nearly forced Gitonga off the road.
Gitonga immediately called out the driver. “Why are you blinding me? Oh, so the best thing to do is run me over, right?” he asked.
The driver insisted he had no intention of causing harm, but Gitonga challenged his driving and lack of awareness.
Verbal clash erupts
The exchange escalated as Gitonga accused the driver of being under the influence of alcohol or another substance.
The driver denied this, claiming he was sober. “You think you’re Jesus because you have a BMW? Go to hell, man,” Gitonga remarked, pointing to the driver’s arrogance and poor judgment on the road.

During the confrontation, Gitonga also addressed issues of attitude and morality, telling the driver, “Just because you have money, don’t show it off,” referencing biblical lessons to highlight responsible conduct.
Gitonga pressed the driver further, insisting that such behaviour was dangerous and unacceptable. The driver continued to defend his actions, arguing that he was alert and in control of the vehicle.
The discussion remained focused entirely on the events leading up to the near-accident.”You’re on the wrong side of the road. I am almost in the ditch, “Gitonga said.
Both men maintained a tense but controlled exchange. Gitonga emphasised the immediate threat posed by the driver’s manoeuvring, and the driver repeatedly denied causing harm, asserting that he had not intended to force Gitonga off the road.
The confrontation lasted several minutes, during which Gitonga and the driver remained on the side of the road.
Eventually, the tension subsided. The two men exchanged names before parting ways. The encounter ended without physical incident, and both continued on their respective routes.
