Gloria Orwoba praises Passaris’s leadership

Former nominated senator Gloria Orwoba has lauded Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris for her performance in office, saying she has made notable achievements despite limited resources.
Speaking during an interview with Oga Obinna on Monday night, September 1, 2025, the former United Democratic Alliance (UDA) nominated senator said Passaris had delivered tangible results that often go unnoticed by critics.
“I have to she her her flowers, with the little resources she has, she has done well. Passaris has actually worked, some people online say Passaris has not worked, but ukienda ground yake amefanya kazi. Na hiyo pesa ya women rep si nyingi na hiyo pesa ako nayo amefanya nayo kazi,”Orwoba said.
In addition, she further highlighted that the budget allocated to the Woman Representative’s office is not large, yet Passaris has managed to make it count.

Passaris’s weakness
However, Orwoba also pointed out what she sees as Passaris’s weakness.
“Her problem is fear of missing out, she wants to be everywhere, shida yake ni kutaka kuenda kila mahali na kutaka kuongelelea kila kitu!” she added.
Passaris’s on Orwoba
This comes after Passaris expressed her support and sympathy for Orwoba, following her recent dramatic arrest.
Passaris took to her official X account on Friday, August 28, 2025, lauding her support for the embattled Orwoba, expressing solidarity with her amid mounting public scrutiny and legal battles.

On her part, Passaris has emphasised that no leader deserves the stress and humiliation she saw Orwoba go through the previous day.
“My prayers are with Senator Gloria Orwoba as she navigates this difficult storm. No leader deserves the stress and humiliation I saw her go through yesterday. We may have had our differences, but that is immaterial,” Passaris said.
Passaris affirmed that as a mother and a woman in leadership, she stands with her in prayer while firing a warning against any injustice done to her.
“Today, as a colleague, a mother, and a woman in leadership, I stand with her in prayer. If there was any injustice done, I trust that the courts and ultimately God will vindicate her. May she find peace and strength in this season,” Passaris said.
