Gachagua, Pastor Dorcas grace PCEA Baltimore Church’s anniversary service in US

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and his wife, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, have joined congregants of PCEA Baltimore Church in the United States as the church marked its first anniversary.
In a statement posted on his social media account on Sunday, July 27, 2025, Gachagua, who is currently in the US, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to fellowship with the diaspora-based congregation.
“On this Sunday, my Spouse Pastor Dorcas Rigathi and I worshipped at PCEA Baltimore Church, USA,” he wrote.

Quoting the Bible from Acts 3:6, Gachagua shared a message of hope and spiritual encouragement with the church.
“Acts 3:6 — Then Peter said, ‘Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk,” he quoted, emphasising the importance of faith and service.
Gachagua congratulated the church on its milestone and commended the congregation’s continued spiritual commitment.
“I congratulate PCEA Baltimore Church on their 1st anniversary today. I wish them all the best as they work in the vineyard of the Lord,” he stated.

Diaspora engagement
In a separate statement posted earlier on the same day, Pastor Dorcas reflected on the broader purpose of their visit, noting that she also attended a vibrant diaspora community rally in Baltimore hosted by Prof. Choti and other Kenyan leaders abroad.
“Today in Baltimore, Maryland, I joined fellow Kenyans in the diaspora for a vibrant community public rally, graciously hosted by Prof. Choti and the team,” she wrote.
Pastor Dorcas praised the civic consciousness of Kenyans abroad, saying it was encouraging to witness their deep concern for the country’s political and economic future.
“It was encouraging to see how closely our brothers and sisters abroad are following the developments back home,” she noted.

“From concerns about corruption, human rights violations, and disregard for the rule of law, to frustrations over youth unemployment and weak economic frameworks — it’s clear that these issues resonate deeply with Kenyans, regardless of where they are in the world,” Dorcas added.
She underscored the unifying power of a shared national vision and called for collective resolve to bring positive change.
“Our shared vision for a just, free, and prosperous Kenya continues to unite us across borders. Together, we remain committed to rebuilding our nation. May God bless Kenya,” she concluded.
