Thirty judges have been recommended to President Uhuru Kenyatta for appointment at the Employment and Labour Relations Court (ELRC) and the Environment and Land Court (ELC).
ELC has exclusive original and appellate jurisdiction to hear and determine environment and land-related disputes while the ELRC deals with employment and labour disputes.
The 30 judges were picked in competitive JSC recruitment drive that saw 389 applications for the two courts.
Out of the 389 applications, 92 were shortlisted for interviews that took place from July 9 to August 8.
