A 22-year-old student at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) in Kakamega County was on Wednesday evening (August 7) found dead in her rented house in Lurambi.

Belinda Akeyo Achieng, a Fourth Year Bachelor of Education student, was found lying lifeless, with blood oozing from her mouth and private parts.

Achieng’s body was taken to Kakamega County Referral Hospital morgue.

Kakamega Central OCPD, David Kabena, told K24 Digital that police are waiting for autopsy results to reveal the cause of Achieng’s death.

Kabena further stated that investigations into the learner’s suspected murder have begun.
