Former CSs in new cabinet
Duale’s remarks come a few hours after Ruto disclosed the names of eleven members of his new cabinet, in a bid to bolster the goals of his government with a mix of new faces and trusted allies.
Additionally, as Duale continues to oversee the Ministry of Defence, Kithure Kindiki will continue to head the Ministry of Interior, an increasingly crucial position given the nation’s current security challenges.
Others retained were Alice Wahome who will continue to head the Ministry of Lands and Soipan Tuya who retains her position as Environment CS.
Further, the former Energy CS Davis Chirchir has been reassigned to Roads and Transport, and Rebecca Miano, previously Trade CS, steps into the role of Attorney General, replacing Justin Muturi.
