Kenya Power announces scheduled blackout for Saturday

Kenya Power has announced a planned power interruption scheduled to affect two counties tomorrow, Saturday, September 7, 2024.

In a statement, the utility company cited network maintenance as the reason for the planned interruption.

“Good Evening. The listed areas will be under planned power maintenance tomorrow (7th September, 2024). For the advance notice, please use http://bit.ly/31u4jY4. To access the latest schedule, check under the most recent date,” Kenya Power said.

Counties that will be affected include; Uasin Gishu and Trans Nzoia.

In Uasin Gishu, the blackout scheduled for 10 am to 5 pm will affect Semtech Factory, Safaricom Booster, Jua Kali, Wood Treatment, Ngamia Petrol, Kakasia Chemist, Police Post and adjacent customers.

In Trans Nzoia, the blackout will affect Endebes and Panocal areas including Kapkoi, Nauyapong, Lessos, Suam, Maridadi, Kapsitwet, Kwanza, Kobos, Molem, Kimwondo, Gumo Farm, Katuke, Chepchoina, Elgon Orchards, Nai, Kaptega Chorlim, Mt Elgon KWS & KFS, Kitum, Panocal, Kinyoro Endebes, Elgon Tea and adjacent customers from 9 am to 5 pm.
