Roots Party of Kenya is adamant its presidential candidate Prof. George Wajackoya is ahead of the pack in the race for Kenya’s next commander-in-chief.

Preliminary results currently being aired by different media houses have put Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance candidate Raila Odinga and his United Democratic Alliance (UDA) rival Deputy President William Ruto in a tight race at the top.

The results also show Roots Party candidate George Wajackoya and David Mwaure Waihiga of Agano Party trailing the leading pack by millions of votes.

Media houses are streaming the results that they obtain from the Form 34As uploaded on the IEBC portal.

Roots party insist Wajackoyah is ahead

Roots Party spokesperson and head of media Jaymo Ule Msee claims that Wajackoyah is leading in the presidential race contrary to the preliminary results being aired on media.

Jaymo Ule Msee called on Wajackoyah’s supporters to ignore Azimio and Kenya Kwanza bloggers who have been holding premature celebrations with both claiming that their candidates are winning.

“Ignore both Azimio and Kenya Kwanza blogger. We are here waiting for Chebukati to announce Prof Wajackoyah as the next Commander in Chief of the Armed forces. It will end only when Chebukati announces,” Jaymo Ule Msee wrote on Facebook.
