Little-known Samoei Boys school records stellar performance after its withheld KCSE results are released

Little-known Samoei Boys’ Secondary School has recorded impressive results after their Kenya Certificate of Secondary School (KCSE) exam results were released.

The school in Nandi County comes second after Kapsabet Boys’ Secondary School in the just released KCSE results which were withheld.

KNEC released KCSE results for the two schools in Nandi County which were withheld two weeks ago after the official release by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu.

All the 292 candidates from the school in Nandi Hills have qualified for university.

The school had 35 top candidates scoring A-‘s whereas 142 students had B+’s.

96 candidates had B plain and the remaining 19 candidates scored B-‘s.

Speaking to K24 Digital, school Principal Kiptoo Kimosop lauded the dedication, commitment and hard work of the 2023 class, which posted a mean of 9.6 coming second after Kapsabet Boys which had a mean of 10.2.

“We thank God for the sterling performance of the students. We look forward to greater KCSE results this year,” Kimosop said.

St Mary Taachasis Girls was another secondary school in Nandi which had their results withheld.

The girls’ school in Tinderet constituency posted a mean of 7.9, an improvement from last year’s KCSE results.

  11. Kapnyaberai Girls: 7.24
  12. Septonok Girls: 7.06
