Ruto sends best wishes to KCPE, KCSE candidates
President William Ruto has extended his heartfelt wishes to students sitting for their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations.
The president conveyed his support and encouragement to the candidates, emphasizing the significance of this evaluation in their academic journey.
“It is time for you to take part in an evaluation of the progress you have made in learning and preparation for the next stage of your education,” Ruto stated.
Ruto highlighted the collective effort between the government, parents, and guardians in fostering an environment conducive to the students’ academic growth.
“On our part, and in collaboration with your parents and guardians, we have also made great progress in laying a sound foundation to enable you to proceed through school into fulfilling careers,” he highlighted.
Furthermore, the President reassured the students of continued support and emphasized the importance of their roles in the nation’s growth and development.
“We take this opportunity to wish you success as you write your examinations and to assure you that we have taken and shall continue to take, every necessary measure to support you as you get ready to make your contribution to the growth of our nation through your chosen vocation,” Ruto affirmed.
Acknowledging the students as future leaders and contributors to progress and transformation, the president expressed his prayers for their success and well-being throughout the examination period and beyond.
“As our future leaders and partners in progress and transformation, we pray for God’s blessings to be upon you throughout the examination period, and all the way through your journey of growth, learning, and discovery. May you triumph and prosper in all your endeavors,” he conveyed.
KCPE, KPSEA, KCSE examinations
The KCSE examinations commenced on October 23, 2023, and are scheduled to conclude on November 24, 2023. Rehearsals for the took place last Thursday, on October 19, 2023.
The KCPE and the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) exams are slated to commence on October 30. The rehearsals were conducted on Friday, October 27.
On Monday, students will tackle tests in mathematics, English language, and English composition.
Both the KCPE and KPSEA exams will run for three days, concluding on Wednesday, November 1.
A total of 1,282,574 candidates are expected to participate in the KPSEA assessment. The assessment will primarily gauge learner achievement and will not determine the placement of candidates.
