Deputy President William Ruto and Azimio One Kenya Alliance running mate Martha Karua have cast their votes.
Ruto cast his vote at the Kosachei primary school polling station in Turbo constituency, Uasin Gishu county. The presidential hopeful was flanked by his wife Rachael Ruto.
Elsewhere, Azimio’s running mate Martha Karua was among the first voters to cast their votes in Mugumo Primary polling station in Gichugu constituency, Kirinyaga county.
Ruto, Karua urge Kenyans to get out and vote
Speaking after casting her ballot, Karua implored Azimio supporters to get out and vote.
“Kindly get out and vote. It is our day today to determine the direction this country takes. Make your voice heard,” she said.
On his side, Deputy President William Ruto
exuded confidence that Kenyans will make the right choices at their respective polling stations.
The DP urged voters to vote peacefully, intentionally and deliberately.
“I’m very happy the exercise of choosing the next leaders for the next five years is underway. Voters go vote peacefully, intentionally and deliberately. I am very confident the people of Kenya will make choices that will take our country to the future,” he said.
