Prayer breakfast: Light moment as Ruto invites Martha Karua to represent Raila

There was a light moment at Safari Park after Deputy President Willliam Ruto invited Azimio la Umoja coalition running mate Martha Karua to the podium to represent her leader Raila Odinga at this year’s National Prayer Breakfast event.

“Before I conclude my remarks, in the absence of my brother Raila Odinga, who is my main competitor in this competition in this election, Im going to ask my sister Martha Karua…Allow me to break protocol so that she can come and make some few remarks,” Ruto stated.

The de facto Kenya Kwanza leader later apologised to the congregation for breaking protocol.
