A 32-year-old man is nursing injuries after he was pushed off the first-floor balcony of his apartment building in Kaloleni area of Makadara during a confrontation with his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend.

The victim, Salim Latiff, told the police that he was with his girlfriend Gladys Mueni in the house on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, when her ex-boyfriend Paul Omugah stormed in and confronted them.

The attacker wanted to physically assault Latiff’s girlfriend and he went to her defence leading to a violent confrontation.

The two fought each other from the fourth floor to the first floor where Paul pushed Latiff off the balcony of the house. He landed on a church’s iron sheet structure that is adjacent to his apartment building.

“Lattif reported that while in the house at Kaloleni estate fourth floor with his girlfriend Gladys Mueni, he was confronted by Paul Omugah who is the former boyfriend of Gladys. A fight ensued and Lattif was pushed from the balcony of the house’s first floor to an iron sheet constructed church adjacent to the building,” the police report seen by K24 Digital read in part.

Lattif was rushed to Mama Lucy hospital where he was treated and discharged in a stable condition.

Police have since launched a manhunt for the suspect who went missing.

In a separate incident, police launched a hunt for two bodaboda riders who dropped a man at Neema Uhai hospital before disappearing.

According to a police report seen by K24 Digital, the deceased identified as Elijah Onyango was brought to the hospital with multiple stab wounds before succumbing to his injuries minutes before being attended to by the nurse on duty.

The two riders had told the nurse that they had picked the man along the Thika SuperHighway and had been stabbed by unknown people.

The victim was immediately taken to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

“The deceased was brought to Neema Uhai Hospital by two bodaboda riders who claimed to have found him along Thika Road and had been stabbed by unknown people.
