Kenya Power has come out to explain the cause of power outage in parts of the country in North Rift, Western and sections of Nairobi.
In a statement on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, Kenya Power said the outage was as a result of a system disturbance affecting one of its major power transmission lines.
“We have lost electricity supply affecting parts of North Rift, Western and sections of Nairobi due to a system disturbance affecting one of our major power transmission lines. Our engineers are working to restore the electricity supply to the affected areas at the earliest opportunity,” Kenya Power stated.
