Suna East Junet Mohamed now claims that Deputy President William Ruto’s led Kenya Kwanza are planning to import marked ballot papers through the Ugandan border.

The legislator says Ford Kenya Party leader Moses Wetangula has been sending emissaries to witness the printing of ballot papers as a follow-up to the discussions he had with Lykos (Hellas) SA Holdings representatives last year.

Addressing Raila Odinga supporters at Kabete in Kiambu County, Mohammed said Wetangula later met with IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati in Karen where they sealed the deal to rig elections in favour of Ruto.

In the plan, according to Mohammed, some ballot papers would be sneaked to Kenya while others would be marked in Uganda and imported to Kenya through the Ugandan border.

The Odinga ally insisted that ballot papers are key elements in every electoral system and Wetangula and Chebukati should clear the air on the matter.

“In your plan, you wanted to use ballots marked in Uganda before they’re transported through the Ugandan border. We know every plan that you had including the meeting you had with Chebukati in Karen,” Mohammed said.

“Come out clearly and tell Kenyans the position of that matter. Ballot papers are key instruments in the electoral process. We know what you did in 2017 and we don’t want elections to be disqualified again,” he added.

Junet says they’re on the lookout

The MP accused Ruto of being used to stealing everything, a crime he suspected he wants to introduce into the election process.

“We are ready and are screening them everywhere they go,” the MP noted.

The allegations happened after claims came to the fore that Wetangula, through Greek investors have planned to influence the August polls in favour of Ruto.
