The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination has commenced today October 23, 2023, and will be completed on November 24, 2023.

KCSE began in earnest today after rehearsals were held last week on Thursday, October 19, 2023.

Candidates are today sitting for their oral practical papers.

Oral practical exams are scheduled for today until Friday, October 27.

The practical exams include orals for French, German, Arabic, Kenya Sign Language and music.

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has allocated 15 minutes per candidate for the oral exams.

On Wednesday, October 25, candidates will sit for Home Science (food and nutrition) practicals which will run until Tuesday, November 31, 2023.

Candidates will be allocated 15 to 45 minutes for the Home Science practicals.

Written exams for common subjects will begin with Chemistry on November 6 and will run till November 23 when Agriculture will be the last written paper.

However, Physics practical will be the last examinable subject before curtains come down on the 2023 KCSE on November 24.
