ICT, Innovation And Youth Affairs CS Joe Mucheru has taken a swing at Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi and exiled lawyer Miguna Miguna for their sustained online attacks on him.

The online spat was triggered by a wild allegation by Miguna Miguna, that Mucheru is overseeing the alteration of Form 34As in the IEBC portal to place ODM leader Raila Odinga above President-Elect William Ruto. Miguna further claimed that the alleged inflation of figures on Form 34As is geared at bolstering Raila’s presidential petition.

The CS was however quick to refute the allegations and accused the lawyers of always being on his case.

Mucheru beseeched the revered lawyers to stick to their profession and steer clear from constantly attacking him.

“I think lawyers Miguna Miguna and Ahmednasir should stick to their profession. Always Mucheru this Mucheru that, don’t you have your own lawyers to deal with? It’s your big day at the Supreme Court tomorrow, FOCUS! or are you going to be spectators like me?” the ICT CS tweeted.

In a quick rejoinder, Miguna Miguna told Mucheru that he is committed to exposing, fighting and defeating public officers involved in subversion of the Constitution.

“Mr Mucheru. You hold public office which you abuse and use to subvert the Constitution. Kenyan taxpayers pay you to uphold the Constitution. I’m committed to exposing, fighting and defeating merchants of impunity like you – unapologetically,” he stated.
