Correction: University student found dead inside his rented house

Editor’s note:

In our article dated August 9, 2023, and titled “Machakos University student found dead in suspected suicide”, we reported that a university student was found dead in his rented house in Kiumoni area within Katoloni sub-location.

Our initial report indicated that the student who was identified as Peter Mwangi was battling depression linked to family issues and could have taken his own life.

We have since established that there is no evidence to support the claim of family issues related to the student’s demise and that the deceased did not die by suicide.
