Wednesday blackout to affect 5 counties – Kenya Power

Kenya Power issued a notice informing Kenyans of power interruptions on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, in select parts of five counties.

The counties affected include Nairobi, Bomet, Trans Nzoia, Nyeri and Kiambu counties.

The utility firm, in a statement, said there would be a scheduled outage from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Evergreen area of Nairobi county which includes parts of Runda, Woodvale Drive, Mugumo Drive and parts of Ruaka Road.

Kenya Power said Chebunyo, Emarti and Kaboson areas of Bomet County will experience power outage from 9 am to 4 pm.

Gumo farm and Elgon tea areas of Trans Nzoia County will experience a power outage from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. while Ndima and Kiaruhiu areas of Nyeri County will be in blackout from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In Kiambu County, Kamwangi, Igegania and Icaciri will be hit by an eight-hour blackout, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
