Here’s the amount Argentina will receive for reaching 2026 World Cup Final

Argentina have emerged as the 2026 FIFA World Cup first runner-up, falling to Spain in a disappointing final.
Argentina will also receive US$33 million (about Ksh4.3 billion) in prize money from FIFA, after coming second in the tournament.
As the 2026 FIFA World Cup second-best team, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) will receive Ksh4.3 billion, which will be paid to the country’s football federation rather than directly to players.
A point to note is it is up to the national federation to determine how the funds are shared among players, coaches, technical staff and football development programmes.

In addition, each qualified team will receive Ksh193 million to cover preparation costs. This means that all Participating Member Associations are guaranteed at least Ksh1 billion each for their participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament.
According to FIFA, every nation that qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup will receive prize money based on how far they progressed in the tournament.
Finalists (5th–8th) will receive at least Ksh2 billion each, while the round of 16 teams (9th–16th) will each get Ksh1.9 billion.
On the other hand, the round of 32 teams (17th–32nd) will take home at least Ksh1.4 billion each.
Meanwhile, all the teams eliminated in the group stage (33rd–48th) will each receive approximately Ksh1.1 billion each.
“Champions: USD 50 million; runners-up: USD 33 million; 3rd place: USD 29 million; 4th place: USD 27 million; 5th-8th place: USD 19 million; 9th-16th place: USD 15 million; 17th-32nd place: USD 11 million; and 33rd-48th place: USD 9 million,” FIFA announced.
“The FIFA World Cup 2026 will also be groundbreaking in terms of its financial contribution to the global football community,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
